Asynchronous squirrel-cage motors
Our asynchronous squirrel-cage motors save space as a
result of their compact design, therefore making it easy to integrate them
into plants and systems. They are extremely reliable, have an extremely long
service life and set themselves apart as a result of their excellent balance
quality. The minimum service and maintenance costs and high efficiency
ensure low operating costs. The product range encompasses all of the usual
voltage classes and power ratings up to 30 MW.

Asynchronous slipring motors
Our rugged asynchronous slipring motors are extremely
compact as a result of their high power density and the internal slipring
space. The modular cooling system design allows these motors to be flexibly
adapted to specific applications. They are extremely service and
installation-friendly as the cover and motor enclosure are decoupled from
one another.

Synchronous machines
Our rugged synchronous motors are the basis for reliable drive
solutions with power ratings extending up to over 100MW – for instance, for
large gas compressors, blast furnace blowers and main drives for ships. In
order to achieve maximum reliability and efficiency, the enclosure,
bearings, active parts, ventilation and cooling system are perfectly
harmonized and coordinated with one another. The materials and components
that are selected in conjunction with the production technique also serve to
achieve this objective.

Loher motors
Loher high-voltage motors have been specially tailored to
address extreme applications such as winch drives on the decks of ships,
transporting and pumping natural resources from the depths of the sea,
drilling units for tunnels or mining, high and low temperature applications
- and especially production plants and machines located in hazardous areas
in the chemical, petrochemical and oil & gas industry. Loher motors are
available for these applications in all of the usual types of protection.
This also includes double protection designs for applications where the
danger of explosion is especially high.
