Inverters - decentralised
Inverters for motor-proximity installation

With the 8400 motec, 8400 protec and SMV IP65, we offer precisely tailored products with a high degree of protection for decentralised applications, available as either motor or wall-mounted solutions. Owing to their compact design, the devices can be secured directly to the main carrier, thus shortening the motor cables by a considerable distance. As a result you can ensure even complex machine structures are given a clear layout. Decentralised inverters are particularly beneficial in the automotive, intralogistics and printing industries.

Inverters for control cabinet installation

Inverters for control cabinet applications conform to IP20 and IP31 degree of protection. In addition to being easy to fit, some devices are also suitable for cold plate or push-through mounting. The devices can be lined up directly next to each other to save space and also require little cabling for DC-bus operation, allowing clear topologies to be established. Implementation is possible in the smallest of spaces as the controller (if used), I/O system and inverter are all fitted directly next to each other.

Three-phase AC motors are used in a wide variety of industrial applications. They are can be powered from both the mains or an inverter. Three-phase AC motors from
the Basic range are designed for mains power, whereas the MD, MH and MF universal standard motors are intended for frequency inverter power sources. All motors are scalable and can be modified to suit specific machine requirements.

Each of the different model ranges either have an on board CAN bus or can be upgraded with communication modules for the most common fieldbuses. We offer various fieldbus links from which you can select the solution best for you.

Easily connect motors to inverters using our prefabricated system cables. Available with both plug-in or screw connections, the high-quality shielded cables ensure EMC-compliant wiring, high availability and functional reliability. You have the freedom to follow your own individual approach as the cable types, connection variants and lengths can be mixed and matched as you desire – from the inverter to the motor with a continuous cable system.
 
Remote maintenance

Our remote maintenance service enables your inverters to be accessed from anywhere in the world, making preventive maintenance easy.
